1 MINUTE, ONE BROWNIE - SINGLE SERVE RECIPE
Ingredients
- 14 g (1 tbsp) unsalted butter chilled
- 21 g dark chocolate good quality
- 21 g (5+1/2 tsp) brown sugar
- 14 g (1 tbsp) hot water
- 30 g (3+1/2 tbsp) all purpose flour
- 4 g (1 tsp) unsweetened cocoa powder
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Chop chocolate very finely and place it in a medium size bowl with butter and brown sugar.
- Melt in microwave for 30 seconds (800 W microwave), then stop, mix and cook for extra 15 seconds or until the chocolate is completely melted. You can also melt in bain marie.
- Mix well until combined, add water and mix until well combined.
- Add cocoa, flour, salt and gently fold with a spatula until well combined. You can also add some chocolate chip or dark chocolate chunks (optional).
- Transfer into a mug or a ramekin and cook in microwave at 800 W for 60 seconds. Check if the top is dry is ready. If the top is wet, cook for extra 5-10 seconds. Do NOT overcook or it will turn out dry! Better if it's slightly undercook, it will cook completely when it cools down.Consider that every microwave is different: If you have a microwave with higher/lower wattage, you have to reduce/increase the cooking time for few seconds.
- Cool down for few minutes because it's very hot! You can eat it warm or completely cooled down.

When you make chocolate recipes where chocolate is the main character, always use good quality chocolate!
I use Lindt chocolate, classic dark bar in this case, but you can use any high quality chocolate bar you can easily find in your Country.

You can add chocolate chips or dark chocolate chunks to the batter or on top of your brownies before cooking, for extra chocolate flavor.

The secret to get a perfect microwave Brownie is to pay attention at the cooking time: you don’t have to overcook your brownie, but leave it slightly undercooked inside.
If it turned out dry at the center, it’s because you overcooked it, and next time you have to cook it for less seconds.
I used microwave oven for this recipe so you don’t need to waste time with preheating and it’s ready in only 70 seconds (800 W microwave), but here I give you some advices:
- Every microwave is different: If you have a microwave with higher/lower power, you have to reduce/increase the cooking time for few seconds. Do NOT overcook or it will turn out dry!
- If you don’t have microwave you can surely bake it in traditional preheated oven at 180°C-350°F. Always remember to NOT overbake it!
This Brownie is simply amazing served warm with vanilla ice cream or whipping cream on top!
